How Agencies Can Report GEO Results to Clients (Without Overpromising)
Clients are starting to ask "what do AI assistants say about us?" Agencies that can answer with data, in a clean report, have an easy way to add a service. The risk is overpromising, because AI answers are variable and you do not control them.
What a client report should contain
- Baseline. Where the brand stands today: mention rate, ranking position and sentiment, split by AI platform.
- Competitor comparison. The same metrics for the two to five competitors the client cares about. Relative position is what clients understand fastest.
- Raw examples. A handful of actual AI answers, good and bad. Nothing is more persuasive than reading the answer itself.
- Trend. Change since the previous run, shown over weeks rather than days.
- Sources. Which pages the models rely on for the client's category, and where the client is missing.
- Next actions. Concrete steps tied to the findings, not generic advice.
Setting honest expectations
- Answers vary. Say so up front, and report trends across scheduled runs instead of single results.
- You influence, you do not control. Frame the work as improving the client's presence on the sources models draw from.
- Give it time. Coverage on independent sites and re-crawling take weeks, not days.
- Separate awareness from recommendation. Whether a model knows the brand and whether it recommends the brand to a new buyer are different questions.
Delivering it under your own brand
In PeiGEO you add a brand, its website, its industry and up to five competitors; the system generates 40 tracking questions you can edit, then runs them on demand or on a schedule. From the results you can:
- Generate a PDF report with your agency's logo in place of ours.
- Create a read-only share link so the client can view results without signing up. Links can be password-protected and revoked at any time.
Pricing is pay-as-you-go credits with no subscription, so the cost scales with how much you run for each client. See pricing for current packs.
Keep the cadence
A monthly review built on weekly scheduled runs is usually enough. If you are new to the metrics, start with AI visibility score explained.
